<p>Let&#8217;s talk about the power of visualization on the putting green. Now, when you&#8217;re out on the golf course, you have a pre-shot routine, and one of the first steps in a pre-shot routine is finding your intended target. Well, you want to apply those same principles on the putting green. It&#8217;s important to step behind the ball, find the line that you want the ball to roll on toward the hole, and also you want to visualize the ball going in the hole. And the reason why visualization is so important is science now is showing that when it comes to our brain&#8217;s activation, that when we visualize something, the same parts of the brain that are active during the actual motion are active when we visualize. So that&#8217;s why it&#8217;s important to visualize as the last step in your putting motion.</p>

<p>So what I do is I will step behind the ball, I find my intended line, and then I visualize the ball going into the hole. I want to go ahead and start activating my brain. It&#8217;s going to give me confidence as well during the putting motion. So I&#8217;m going to get set up here, just one more check to the hole, just visualizing that ball going into the hole, and now I&#8217;m going to make the put. Just like that. So try activating your brain by using visualization when you&#8217;re putting.</p>
