More and more, the golf treks to South Carolina’s Grand Strand golfing mecca are including more of our day-to-day routine.
Extended stays, occasional work check-ins (or a day at the virtual office) and more in-room meal prep are the name of the game. For many, it also includes bringing their dog with them to Myrtle Beach, too.
But after you’ve left the pup in the room during that day’s round, maybe you’re not looking forward to doing it again at dinner time. Thankfully, a whole bunch of restaurants in and around the area go the extra mile to keep your leashed friend just as happy as you.

The mini-chain did well during the pandemic, thanks to its brilliant burgers, a spectacular spicy chicken sandwich, heaping helpings of made-to-order fries and a kids meal that leaves little to be desired. What this location also has is a great patio that just so happens to be covered 100 percent. Even on the hottest of days, Burger Fi’s outdoor space is easily accessible by a pair of side entrances. As long as you don’t catch it during a crazed rush, there’s almost always space available, too. If the pupper gets a little touchy, slip him one of those fries. You’ll have plenty to spare.

Look, we know it sounds a little messed up to bring your good boy to a place named Dead Dog. And while your dining companions walk around the side to the oversized back deck with Fido &#8211; and it hits you that all those pictures are deceased furry loved ones &#8211; it may seem even more bizarre. But trust us when we tell you that Dead Dog Saloon is not only an ode to our lovable pets (both now and then). But the staff will go out of its way to make you and yours feel welcome. Just make sure your dog is OK with pelicans and sea gulls. You know how they tell you to factor tipping into your budget? At Sneaky Beagle, tack on another $3 for any one of the items on the dog menu. The Pupcake, Chicken Jerky and Fido Fruit Loops all get the tail wagging. It could be the perfect distraction for you to take on the ultra-creative taco menu (pick three and broaden your horizon) and the rolling beer menu that spans the long-time favorites and some new age craft options side by side while taking in some tunes. We’re not sure if we can possibly recommend a better dog-friendly eatery in the entire area more than Tidal Creek. For starters, nearly the entire public portion of the establishment is outdoors. There’re high-top tables next to the ordering station, more directly behind the building adjacent to the brewery and then a wide-open back yard of sorts, complete with picnic tables and plenty of room to roam. What’s more, there’s an enclosed dog-walking area for when one beer turns into three and you realize he’s gotta do his business. Truly, they’ve made this place for you in mind.
