Myrtle Beach is a haven for you creatures of habit, too.
Many of the national chains who have carved out a spot in your stomach are prevalent right here on the Grand Strand. They’re reliable and consistent, tasty, and fulfilling.

If you’re like us, you can’t get enough of that monster salad and breadsticks always being exactly the same, no matter which Olive Garden you’re sitting in at that moment. On the Grand Strand, locations in Carolina Forest, Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach all promise exactly that. Merging into the pasta after gives you a chance to try something new, even if your favorite Italian joint is the same as it is back home.

Oh, so you’re going to pour an oversized beer and then bring out a boatload of wings while we watch 17 games at once? Yeah, the founders of Buffalo Wild Wings clearly had their fingers on the pulse of Americans. At either the Carolina Forest or North Myrtle Beach versions of this national chain, fans of sports, beer and wings will get what they want, while an ever-expanding menu will cover the rest.

If you’re ever curious about how good the food is at Abuelo’s, just consider that it was founded in Texas (where Mexican food is kind of a big deal), and now thrives there and eight other states. Burritos, tacos, chile rellenos and enchiladas aren’t small dishes here. Nor are many of the margarita options. Located adjacent to Coastal Grand Mall in Myrtle Beach, what Abuelo’s may lack in local flair is made up for by reliably delicious food. Myrtle Beach is home to a whole bunch of pizza restaurants influenced by the New York-style flair for crust and sauce. Mellow Mushroom’s three Grand Strand locations (Murrells Inlet, Myrtle Beach, North Myrtle Beach) have actually cut into the market share by doing the opposite: Leisurely dining in a chilled environment while serving massive pizzas that make you wonder how anyone could possibly think of that topping combination. Outback is universally known not to have any real Australian influence, sure. We don’t care. Those steaks are juicy, the salads are super fresh, the bread is soft and the kids’ menu keeps you from having to wheel and deal with the little ones while you’re getting your grub on. Outback has four separate locations along the Strand, and each of them stay jammed during business hours for a reason.
